Are Your Kids Socialists?
Resources YOU Need to Teach Your Family about Socialism and Communism
Hello there! A warm welcome to the many new subscribers who have joined us recently! I’ll give a full and proper introduction to me and my work soon, but for now, here is the mission statement for Invincible Family Substack: “To expose the global mayhem attacking your family and show you how to raise a (mostly) happy family anyway.” I’m so glad you’re here!
Okay, I made a promise last week to deliver some resources to help you teach about socialism at home so that your kids can escape the false but sweet sounding promises of a socialist utopia. I’m making good on that promise right now! With few exceptions, I have personally read or watched all of these resources and can recommend them with confidence. Most of these resources will work best with children in their teenage years. All the Tuttle Twins stuff is great for kids of all ages.
As with any resources, I suggest you review these first to make sure you’re comfortable showing them to or reading them with to your children at their various ages and stages of development. (Some of the videos talk about the deaths of massive numbers of people, etc. which may be concerning to younger viewers. And some of the books are too heavy for young children.)
Okay, here we go!

BOOKS
Red Scarf Girl, by Ji-Li Jiang: A memoir aimed at younger audiences showing what it was like to live in communist China.
Wild Swans, by Jung Chang: Fantastic book telling the true story of three generations of women in China. Teens will find this fascinating. There’s nothing that persuades better than a true story.
The Bridge at Andau, by James Michener: Oh my gosh. Get this book. Tells the true story of the rise and fall of communist Hungary. Definitely only for mature audiences. (I use an inspiring story from this book in Chapter 22 of my book, The Invincible Family.)
A Mother’s Ordeal, by Steven Mosher: This one is not for the faint of heart. If you can get your hands on a copy, it will pretty much rip your heart out. It’s a true story. And in my opinion, a must read.
The Case Against Socialism, by Rand Paul: Clear teaching from a modern voice.
