4 Books About the American Revolution for You and Your Family
All freedom loving families should delve into the inspiring stories of the American Revolution! This window of history is one of the most inspiring epochs of all time and it ushered in the greatest era of prosperity and progress mankind has ever known. July is a great time to start (or continue!) your study of American history, whether you live in America or not!
Here are four books to get you started:
If You Were a Kid During the American Revolution, by Wil Mara
Revolutionary War on Wednesday (Magic Tree House), by Mary Pope Osborne
I Survived the American Revolution, 1776 (I Survived #15), by Lauren Tarshis
The first book is written for adults or teens (you can read the stories first and then share them with your children or grandchildren). The last three are appropriate for independent readers or to read together; they include some historical fiction elements that put kids right in the middle of the action. I’ve included Amazon links here, but you may be able to pick them up at your local library!
Happy reading!
With much love,
Kimberly
